That makes the paint durable, but it also means correction takes more skill and the right abrasives — a quick polish that works on a Tesla will barely touch a Mercedes. Mercedes-Benz uses a hard, scratch-resistant clear coat — the nano-particle clear on newer cars is among the toughest finishes in the industry. The upside is real durability.
