Slush, subway-vent grime, narrow canyon streets. We come to the garage under the building.
Four steps. No back-and-forth. No appointments at a shop.
Xentra Auto is a fully mobile detail studio — no shop, no drop-off, no waiting room. We carry the equipment, the water, the power, and the trained hands of a high-end shop straight to your driveway, office, or curb, anywhere in NYC. You hand over the keys; we hand back a flawless car.
Fully-equipped mobile units — not a guy with a bucket.
No hookups needed. We're 100% self-contained.
Home, office, garage, curbside. You don't move the car.
From a hand wash to full ceramic coating and PPF — all on-site.
Professional-grade work, panel by panel.
Xentra Auto brings full-service mobile detailing to Financial District — we come to you, so there’s no shop drop-off and no waiting room. Financial District runs on mostly parking garages and alternate-side street spots, and we come straight to wherever your car lives — driveway, garage, or curb on Water Street. Self-contained rig, no hookups, no shop trip.
Harbour air, FDR spray and streets narrow enough to guarantee door contact — a downtown car takes all three, and the salt film in particular keeps working long after the car looks clean. That is bonded contamination, and it needs a chemical step.
We run the full range down here: ceramic coating, paint correction, full details and quick maintenance washes. Most Financial District cars sit six days a week, so the work is about protecting a stationary car rather than a hard-driven one.
Financial District has its own way of beating up a car. We've seen all of it.
Salt reaches downtown from the water and from the plough routes. It stays damp in the wells long after the paint looks perfectly clean.
Warm mineral-laden air pushes out of the pavement grates onto cars parked beside them, leaving a film that water-spots as soon as it dries.
Reflected sun off glass towers bakes horizontal panels in the middle of the day. Unprotected clear coat flattens years before the sides do.
Real products, real techniques — and the mix that actually comes up around here.
Around Water Street, the garages near the Seaport, Stone Street, three jobs come up over and over.
Ceramic coating is the most-requested job around Water Street — owners here protect six-figure paint with Gtechniq Crystal Serum and Gyeon Mohs+, registered and warrantied in their name.
Paint correction matters on the garaged European metal down here — Porsche, Bentley and the softer German clear coats get LED-inspected and test-spotted before a machine touches them, because those finishes correct fast and thin faster.
Full PPF goes on a lot of the front-ends in Financial District — XPEL and SunTek film over hoods and bumpers so winter salt & slush never reaches the paint.
Need something more targeted? Paint correction, PPF, engine bay, and lease-return prep all run here too.
Downtown cars are garaged, low-mileage and mostly damaged while standing still.
S-Class, 7 Series and A8 kept in building garages. Hard clear coats, soft leather, and attendant transfer on the door edges.
Teslas and Lucids charging overnight in the same stall for months. Soft paint, plus a cabin that never gets aired out.
911s and Corvettes driven a few times a month. They want protection and proper preparation far more than they want washing.
Financial District clients work with IDA Certified, Gtechniq Accredited, and Gyeon Certified techs. Standard of care doesn't change with the vehicle.
FiDi cars do low mileage and long sits, which produces a specific interior: dust settled on every horizontal surface, stale air, and salt walked in across the lobby all winter. Low mileage does not mean clean. We vacuum every zone, extract carpets and mats, steam the dash and vents to lift settled film, and clean and condition the leather. Done in your tower's garage, so the car never leaves the building.
The streets down here are narrow canyons that funnel wind, and everything airborne — harbour salt, construction dust off the constant tower work, brake dust from the tunnel approaches — gets driven onto parked cars and held there. We hand-wash two-bucket, deep-clean wheels and tyres, clay off the bonded film that a wash alone cannot shift, then seal the paint so the next round sheets off instead of sticking.
Winter is the problem down here. Slush from Water and Pearl gets walked into the garage and straight into the footwell, and the salt stays in the carpet backing long after the visible mark has gone. We hot-water extract carpets, mats and cloth upholstery to pull the salt out properly, pre-treat and multi-pass set-in stains, then dry it so nothing sits damp in an enclosed garage.
A coating suits the FiDi ownership pattern well: cars that sit for days, collect airborne fallout, and get washed infrequently. Instead of contamination bonding to bare clear coat between washes, it rests on a hard hydrophobic layer and comes off when you finally get to it. We correct the paint first, install in controlled conditions, and register the warranty in your name.
The damage pattern here is settled-dust related — fine grey haze that dulls reflection, plus swirls from wiping a dusty car dry. Both respond well to proper correction. We inspect under LED, take a test spot to find the least aggressive process that works, then polish in stages to genuinely remove the defects. On the dark saloons common in these garages the clarity change is dramatic.
There is nowhere convenient to wash a car in the Financial District, and driving out to find one costs you most of a morning. We come to the garage instead — our own water and power, a safe two-bucket wash with pH-neutral soap, wheels and tyres cleaned, glass left clear. It is the light maintenance that keeps a coated or freshly corrected car right between full services.
A car that sits in an enclosed garage for a fortnight develops a stale, closed smell of its own, and anything left in it — a gym bag, a coffee, a wet umbrella — compounds it. We remove rather than mask: extraction of the source first, then ozone or enzyme treatment to neutralise what remains. It is the standard fix before a lease return or after buying used.
Even a garaged FiDi car yellows over time, because lens oxidation is as much about age and heat cycles as constant sun. Cloudy lenses cut your effective beam range, which matters on the dark, narrow streets down here. We wet-sand the oxidation away, polish the lens back to clear and seal it with UV coating so it holds rather than hazing over again.
Downtown was laid out before cars and the streets still say so, which is why our mobile car wash comes to the garage rather than asking you to navigate back out of the canyon. Everything a mobile car washing service needs rides with us, including waste containment, and building management gets a certificate of insurance if it asks. Harbour air puts a salt film on anything parked near the water, so an at-home car wash down here means flushing the wheel wells before the panels are touched, then washing by hand and rinsing clear. For the cabin, our car shampoo service draws hot water through the flooring, and car seat shampoo work brings fabric back on a car that rarely moves. Engine bay detailing can go on the same booking.
