Xentra Auto brings full-service mobile detailing to South Beach — we come to you, so there’s no shop drop-off and no waiting room. South Beach is Staten Island through and through — real driveways and garages — the easy part of our job here. Wherever the car sits near Father Capodanno Boulevard, that's where we work, fully self-contained.
The threats here are blunt: blown boardwalk sand that scratches if it is wiped off dry, and ocean salt that keeps working long after the car looks clean. Neither is a job for soap and a sponge.
Ceramic coating, paint correction, full and interior details and recurring washes all run in South Beach — the finish gets reset first, then protected, because the exposure here is constant rather than seasonal.
South Beach has its own way of beating up a car. We've seen all of it.
There is no shade at all this close to the water, so horizontal panels take unfiltered UV all summer and go flat years early.
The residential streets a few blocks back are well planted, and sap lands on cars parked under them from spring onward.
The shore road is treated hard and the spray carries straight onto the parked cars alongside it, settling into the wells.
Real products, real techniques — and the mix that actually comes up around here.
Around Father Capodanno Boulevard, the boardwalk blocks, three jobs come up over and over.
Full detail on the trucks and SUVs parked around Father Capodanno Boulevard runs longer — more surface, bigger cabins, and bed liners that need their own treatment.
Undercarriage and salt removal is the job that pays for itself down here. Ocean salt sits in the wells year-round, and we flush it out before it starts on the frame rails.
Ceramic coating on a daily-driven truck or family SUV means open-sky UV exposure rinses off instead of bonding — and the wash routine gets a lot shorter.
Need something more targeted? Paint correction, PPF, engine bay, and lease-return prep all run here too.
Boardwalk exposure decides what these cars actually need.
Crossovers and sedans parked within a few blocks of the sand. Blown grit gets into everything and has to be floated off, never wiped.
F-150s and Silverados that carry gear to the shore. Salt in the wells and sand in the bed are the two jobs that matter.
A growing Tesla and Ioniq count living outdoors here. Soft single-stage paint, so light compounds and a protective coating over it.
South Beach clients work with IDA Certified, Gtechniq Accredited, and Gyeon Certified techs. Standard of care doesn't change with the vehicle.
South Beach cars carry the boardwalk home — sand in the footwells, damp towels in the boot, and salt air that keeps the whole cabin from ever drying out properly. We reset it: every zone vacuumed, carpets and mats hot-water extracted, dash and vents steamed, leather cleaned and conditioned, then dried thoroughly because that is what actually lasts here.
This is one of the most exposed spots on the island — ocean salt spray off the Lower Bay, blown sand, and open sky with no shade at all. Sand is abrasive and salt keeps the surface damp, which is a bad combination for bare paint. We hand-wash two-bucket with heavy lubrication, deep-clean wheels and rockers, decontaminate, then seal the surface.
Beach sand works deep into the carpet backing and under the seat rails where vacuuming will never lift it, and salt water goes with it. We hot-water extract carpets, floor mats and cloth upholstery to draw both out with water and suction, pre-treat set-in stains, then run a heavy drying pass.
Few places on the island make a stronger case. Salt spray keeps working year-round rather than seasonally, and blown sand scours anything soft on the surface. A coating is hard and slick, so sand slides and salt sheets off instead of grinding and clinging. We correct the paint first, install it properly and register the warranty to you.
South Beach paint shows fine abrasion from wind-blown sand on top of salt etching and open-sky UV flattening — a different picture from ordinary wash swirls. We measure depth, decontaminate, inspect under LED and take a test spot, then polish in measured stages before sealing the finish in.
Rinsing a sandy car with a hose is how the scratches happen — the sand has to be floated off with lubrication, not dragged. We bring a safe wash to you with our own water and power: heavy pre-rinse, two-bucket method, pH-neutral soap, wheels and rockers cleaned, glass left clear.
Damp towels, beach gear and constant humidity make mildew the defining smell problem here, and it does not clear on its own. We extract the source out of the carpets and upholstery first, then run ozone or enzyme treatment to neutralise mildew, pet, smoke and food odours at the molecular level.
Salt air, blown sand and unfiltered sun age lenses faster here than almost anywhere on the island, leaving them yellowed and finely pitted. We wet-sand the oxidation and pitting back, polish the lens to real clarity and seal it under a UV coating so it stays that way.
The boardwalk puts blown sand and ocean salt on every car parked within a few blocks of it. Our mobile car wash comes to the house self-contained, a mobile car washing service with its own water and power. Sand will scratch if it is wiped off dry, so an at-home car wash begins with a long pre-rinse that floats it away, after which the wells are flushed and the paint is hand washed and rinsed clear. Inside, a car shampoo service extracts carpets and mats, and a car seat shampoo pulls sand out of the seat backing. Engine bay detailing is available on request.
