Elevated grit, LaGuardia fallout, winter salt. We work at the curb under the N and W.
Xentra comes to Astoria — driveways off Ditmars, attached-house blocks near 30th Avenue, and curbside spots under the N/W line. Our van carries its own water and power, so we work wherever the car sits. Exterior service starts at $250, a full interior-and-exterior at $350, most finished same-day.
Four steps. No back-and-forth. No appointments at a shop.
Xentra Auto is a fully mobile detail studio — no shop, no drop-off, no waiting room. We carry the equipment, the water, the power, and the trained hands of a high-end shop straight to your driveway, office, or curb, anywhere in NYC. You hand over the keys; we hand back a flawless car.
Fully-equipped mobile units — not a guy with a bucket.
No hookups needed. We're 100% self-contained.
Home, office, garage, curbside. You don't move the car.
From a hand wash to full ceramic coating and PPF — all on-site.
Professional-grade work, panel by panel.
Xentra Auto brings full-service mobile detailing to Astoria — we come to you, so there’s no shop drop-off and no waiting room. Astoria runs on the N/W train and Steinway Street, with 30th Ave and Ditmars as the neighborhood centers. It's a mix of attached houses with driveways and dense street-parking blocks.
The elevated train grit, Grand Central Parkway film, and proximity to LaGuardia put a real load on Astoria paint. We decontaminate all of it and seal the surface so it stays cleaner.
Lots of family vehicles, daily drivers, and a growing EV count. Full details and ceramic coating are our most-booked Astoria jobs.
Astoria has its own way of beating up a car. We've seen all of it.
The N/W elevated line drops metallic grit on cars parked underneath. It bonds to clear coat and needs chemical decon to remove.
Near the airport and Grand Central Parkway, fine fallout and highway film settle on parked cars. A clay + iron treatment is the only fix.
Salt trucks hit the Queens arterials hard. Six months of brine attacks paint and wheels — winter decon keeps it from etching.
Real products, real techniques — and the mix that actually comes up around here.
The N/W elevated line drops metallic grit on cars parked underneath. It bonds to clear coat and needs chemical decon to remove. That's the backdrop for the work we do most in Astoria.
Ceramic coating is the top booking in Astoria, and much of it goes onto EVs — soft single-stage paint that marks easily and gains the most from a hard layer between it and the elevated line's steel dust.
Paint correction on that paint takes a lighter touch: finishing compounds and softer pads so defects come out without new swirls going in, then sealed rather than left bare.
Full detail with Alcantara-safe interior work is the other big one near Steinway Street — brushed, never wiped, plus EV-safe chemistry throughout.
Everything else is on the table too — scratch repair, headlight restoration, odor removal, tint — all on-location around Steinway Street, 30th Avenue, Ditmars.
Astoria mixes attached-house family cars with a very heavy EV count.
Model 3s and Ys working the LGA runs. Soft single-stage paint, finishing compounds only, and cabins that need real extraction weekly.
CR-Vs, RAV4s and Rogues in short driveways behind attached houses. Elevated-line grit lands on all of them and has to be dissolved off.
Long-owned BMWs and Audis kept on the block for years. Weathered clear coat, so we measure and test-spot before any correction.
Astoria clients work with IDA Certified, Gtechniq Accredited, and Gyeon Certified techs. Standard of care doesn't change with the vehicle.
Astoria cars carry the neighbourhood in them — Steinway Street errands, weekend trips over the Triborough, and the fine grit that drifts down off the N and W structure on 31st Street. It works into seat rails and carpet edges where a household vacuum never reaches. We reset the whole cabin: every zone vacuumed, carpets and mats hot-water extracted, dash and vents steamed, leather cleaned and conditioned. Done in your driveway off Ditmars or at the kerb.
Two things land on Astoria paint that most of the city never sees: steel dust off the elevated structure, and combustion particulate plus rubber shed from LaGuardia arrivals. Both are abrasive, so wiping a dry car here is the fastest way to swirl it. We hand-wash two-bucket with heavy lubrication, deep-clean wheels, run an iron decontamination, then seal so the next round floats off instead of keying in.
Between attached-house driveways, Astoria Park in summer and a full winter of street salt, the carpets here take a genuine load. We hot-water extract carpets, floor mats and cloth upholstery, pulling salt and grit out of the backing rather than pressing it deeper. Set-in stains are pre-treated and multi-passed, then a drying pass so nothing stays damp in a car parked outside.
If your car parks anywhere near the flight path or under the N and W, a coating is doing real work rather than cosmetic work. Airport particulate and rail dust are abrasive and metallic; on a hard, slick coated surface they rinse away instead of embedding in soft clear coat. We correct the paint first, install in a controlled setup, and register the warranty in your name.
The Astoria signature is orange-brown speckling on light-coloured cars — embedded metal from the elevated structure starting to oxidise — plus swirls from dry wiping abrasive airport film. We decontaminate before a polisher touches the car, then inspect under LED, take a test spot and work in measured stages to genuinely remove the defects rather than fill them.
Cars under the N and W need washing more often than most, and doing it in a tunnel wash on Astoria Boulevard is what puts the swirls in. We bring a safe wash to your block instead — own water and power, two-bucket method, pH-neutral soap, wheels and tyres cleaned, glass streak-free. Frequent safe washing is what stops rail dust ever getting the chance to bond.
Astoria cars pick up smells from a neighbourhood that eats well and parks outside — takeaway, spilled coffee, damp coats through a wet spring. We do not perfume over it. The source comes out of the carpets and upholstery first, then ozone or enzyme treatment neutralises pet, smoke, food and mildew at a level air freshener never reaches.
Street-parked Astoria cars get unfiltered sun year-round and the lenses cloud accordingly, which costs you real distance merging onto the Grand Central at night. We wet-sand the oxidation off, polish the lens back to genuine clarity and seal it under a UV coating so it holds rather than hazing again by next summer.
Most Astoria houses have a short driveway or a shared alley slot, and that is enough room for us to work. The mobile car wash rolls in complete — a mobile car washing service with its own tanks and generator, so your tap and outlet stay unused. What makes an at-home car wash worth it here is the elevated line above 31st Street: it sheds steel dust onto everything parked beneath, and that has to be dissolved and floated away, never wiped off dry. Hand wash, clear rinse. Cabins are done as a car shampoo service — mats lifted, carpets extracted — followed by a car seat shampoo through the upholstery. Engine bay detailing is available as an add-on.
