Crooked narrow blocks and garage scuffs. We work in the space you already have.
Four steps. No back-and-forth. No appointments at a shop.
Xentra Auto is a fully mobile detail studio — no shop, no drop-off, no waiting room. We carry the equipment, the water, the power, and the trained hands of a high-end shop straight to your driveway, office, or curb, anywhere in NYC. You hand over the keys; we hand back a flawless car.
Fully-equipped mobile units — not a guy with a bucket.
No hookups needed. We're 100% self-contained.
Home, office, garage, curbside. You don't move the car.
From a hand wash to full ceramic coating and PPF — all on-site.
Professional-grade work, panel by panel.
Xentra Auto brings full-service mobile detailing to West Village — we come to you, so there’s no shop drop-off and no waiting room. West Village is Manhattan through and through — mostly parking garages and alternate-side street spots. Wherever the car sits near Bleecker, that's where we work, fully self-contained.
The local enemies are predictable: the FDR and West Side Highway throw grime and salt, and dense parking adds door dings and transfer. None of it comes off with a standard wash.
Ceramic coating, paint correction, full and interior details and recurring washes all run across the West Village — reset the paint once and then protect it, because there is nowhere convenient to keep fighting it week to week.
West Village has its own way of beating up a car. We've seen all of it.
The small garages tucked into these blocks have steep ramps and no room to spare. Scuffs and bumper transfer come with the territory.
There is nearly always a facade under repair on these streets. Fine cement dust settles on parked cars and bonds once it gets damp.
The remaining cobbled stretches throw grit up the rockers all year and hold salted slush in the joints through winter.
Real products, real techniques — and the mix that actually comes up around here.
Tight parking-garage stalls and valet handling around West Village mean scuffs and paint transfer. We polish them out and coat the paint to take the next hit. That's the backdrop for the work we do most in West Village.
Ceramic coating is the most-requested job around Bleecker — owners here protect six-figure paint with Gtechniq Crystal Serum and Gyeon Mohs+, registered and warrantied in their name.
Paint correction on the cars kept here needs a light hand — soft European clear coats get LED-inspected and test-spotted first, and much of what looks like damage is transfer that polishes off in one pass.
Full PPF goes on a lot of the front-ends in West Village — XPEL and SunTek film over hoods and bumpers so garage door dings never reaches the paint.
Everything else is on the table too — scratch repair, headlight restoration, odor removal, tint — all on-location around Bleecker, Hudson, the narrow blocks off Seventh Ave South.
Narrow streets and long-term ownership define the cars kept here.
Older Porsches, Alfas and Mercedes owned for years. Original paint, so we measure and test-spot before choosing any compound.
Model 3s and Mini Electrics that fit the spaces available. Soft single-stage paint and finishing compounds only.
X3s, Q5s and XC60s squeezed onto crooked blocks. Kerbed wheels and door-edge transfer are the routine repairs.
West Village clients work with IDA Certified, Gtechniq Accredited, and Gyeon Certified techs. Standard of care doesn't change with the vehicle.
West Village cars are parked on some of the tightest, most crooked streets in the city and used sparingly, which means the interior problem is settled dust and stale air rather than heavy soiling. We reset it thoroughly — every zone vacuumed, carpets and mats hot-water extracted, dash, console and vents steamed to lift settled film, leather cleaned and conditioned. Done at the kerb without the car moving.
The narrow blocks here mean cars sit close to buildings, so façade and pointing dust lands directly on them, and the older streets throw more grit up the flanks than the avenues do. We hand-wash two-bucket with proper lubrication, deep-clean wheels and rockers, clay off bonded fallout, then seal the paint so the next round comes off with a normal wash.
Everything gets walked in here, because everyone walks — and in winter that means salt ground into the carpet backing daily. We hot-water extract carpets, floor mats and cloth upholstery to draw it out, pre-treat and multi-pass set-in stains, then dry properly so a car parked on the street is not left damp inside for days.
No driveways, no garages on most of these blocks, and a car that sits outside through the whole salt season. A coating is the practical answer — salt, façade dust and tree debris rest on a hard hydrophobic layer instead of bonding to bare clear coat. We correct the paint first, install in a controlled setup, and register the warranty to you.
Parking on West Village streets is a contact sport, and the paint shows it: door-edge transfer, bumper scuffs from tight parallel spaces, and swirls from wiping a dusty car dry. We inspect under LED, take a test spot, then polish in measured stages to remove what is genuinely removable — and tell you straight which scuffs need paint rather than polish.
The streets here are too narrow and too contested to give up a space for a wash, and most owners simply do not. We work tight against the car at the kerb so the lane stays passable — own water and power, two-bucket method, pH-neutral soap, wheels and tyres cleaned, glass streak-free, spray sealant on top.
A car parked outside on a shaded West Village block through a damp spring develops mildew smell alongside the usual spills and forgotten food, and closed up it never clears. We extract the source first, then run ozone or enzyme treatment that neutralises pet, smoke, food and mildew at a level air freshener never reaches.
Street parking year-round leaves lenses yellowed and scattered, and these blocks are genuinely dark at night. We wet-sand the oxidation back, polish the lens to real clarity and seal it under a UV coating so it stays that way rather than hazing over again by next summer. An hour at the kerb, and the front of the car reads years younger.
The West Village street plan was never a grid, and the legal spaces on it are far too hard-won to trade for a car wash. Ours comes to you: a mobile car wash set up tight against the vehicle, running as a mobile car washing service off its own supply so the narrow one-way stays passable. Cobble grit gets rinsed off the lower panels before anything else happens, which is what an at-home car wash on these blocks has to start with, then a careful hand wash and a clear-drying rinse. The cabin is handled by a car shampoo service, hot water drawn through the floors, with a car seat shampoo lifting spills out of the fabric. Engine bay detailing is available on request.
