LIC cars mostly live in tower garages and do low mileage, which produces a specific interior: construction dust settled on every surface and air that never moves. Low mileage is not the same as clean. We reset it — every zone vacuumed, carpets and mats hot-water extracted, dash, console and vents steamed to lift settled film, leather cleaned and conditioned. Done in your building's stall.
LIC has been under continuous tower construction for years, and the dust from it is alkaline and abrasive — it etches if it sits through a rain cycle. Add Queensboro Bridge brake dust and salt off the East River. We hand-wash two-bucket, deep-clean wheels, clay and iron-decontaminate the bonded film, then seal so the next round rinses away.
Winter slush crosses the garage floor and goes straight into the footwell, and in an enclosed stall it stays damp far longer than it would outdoors. We hot-water extract carpets, floor mats and cloth upholstery to draw the salt out of the backing, pre-treat set-in stains, then run a dedicated drying pass so nothing sits wet.
For an LIC car the coating argument is construction dust above all — it lands constantly on paint that gets washed rarely because there is nowhere convenient nearby. On a coated surface it sits on top and comes off with a normal wash rather than bonding into the clear coat over months. We correct first, install properly and register the warranty to you.

We work in the stall instead — our own water and power, safe two-bucket wash with pH-neutral soap, wheels and tyres cleaned, glass streak-free, and a spray sealant to maintain protection between full appointments.
A car sitting enclosed in a tower garage for a week or two develops stale, closed air of its own, and anything left inside compounds it. We extract the source first, then run ozone or enzyme treatment to neutralise what remains rather than perfume over it — the standard fix before a lease return or after a used purchase.
Even garaged LIC cars yellow with age, since lens oxidation tracks heat cycling as much as sun. Cloudy lenses scatter light exactly when you need it, pulling out of a garage into dark cross streets. We wet-sand the oxidation off, polish back to clear and seal under UV coating so it does not return next summer.
In a neighbourhood of new towers there is nowhere sensible to wash a car, so the mobile car wash comes up to the garage level. We work as a mobile car washing service with contained water and our own power, insured and documented for building management. A car that spends most of the week stationary needs care rather than force, so an at-home car wash in an LIC stall means a hand wash with no brushes, no runoff and a rinse that dries clear. The car shampoo service extracts carpets and mats afterwards, and a car seat shampoo freshens upholstery that rarely gets aired. Engine bay detailing is available on request.
