Matte paint has no clear coat to polish. Touch it with a brush wash, a regular wax, or a swirly microfiber and you've created shiny spots that don't come out — except by repainting. We use matte-specific shampoo, dedicated matte microfibers, and matte-safe ceramic coatings (Gtechniq Crystal Lacquer Matte) that preserve the flat finish while protecting against contamination.

Wash mitts kept separate from regular detail kits. Cross-contamination from a polish-residue mitt creates shiny streaks.
