Lease return detailing service

Lease Return Detailing Service

Wheel curb rash, scratches, interior wear, hazed headlights — fixed before the dealer sees it.

★★★★★ 4.9 · 500+ Cars Detailed · Wear-Fee Specialist · Mobile · 7 Days

Dealerships charge wear-and-tear fees on lease returns: $200–$500 per scratched panel, $250+ per curb-rashed wheel, $400 for hazed headlights, hundreds for interior staining or odor. A pre-turn-in detail addresses all of those visible issues for less than the dealership would charge for one of them. We've done hundreds of lease returns and we know what dealer inspectors flag.

What's included

We know what dealer inspectors look for. We fix the items they'd charge you for.

🔘

Wheel curb rash repair

Aluminum wheel curb-rash sanded down, primed, painted (factory color match), clear-coated. Looks original after treatment.

🛠️

Scratch and swirl removal

Visible exterior scratches polished out where polishable. Touch-up paint on deeper scratches. Inspector won't flag what they can't see.

💡

Headlight restoration

Yellow/hazed headlights restored to clear. Common dealer charge: $400. Our charge: $179 with UV sealant included.

🪑

Interior reset

Carpet extraction, leather conditioning, odor neutralization. Removes wear evidence that dealer inspectors photograph and charge for.

📋

Pre-inspection report

We document what we did with before/after photos. Use these to dispute any unfair wear-fee charges the dealer adds anyway.

⏱️

Time required

Standard: 4–5 hours. Heavy wear (multiple curb rashes, deep scratches): 6–8 hours. Same-day turn-in possible.

Who this service is for

Three lease-return situations where we save the most.

🅿️

NYC daily-driver lease returns

Tight parking causes curb rashes and paint-transfer dings. Address them before the dealer charges $200+ per panel.

💸

High wear-fee lease contracts

Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz Financial all have aggressive wear-fee policies. Pre-turn-in detail commonly saves $1,000+.

🐕

Pet-driven / kid-driven lease returns

Embedded pet hair, stained seats, odors all flagged. Interior reset alone often saves more than the detail costs.

Lease Return Detailing FAQ

Common: curb-rashed wheels ($250–$400 each), scratched panels ($200–$500 each), hazed headlights ($300–$500), cracked windshields ($200–$1,000), interior stains/odor ($300–$800), excessive tire wear ($150–$300 per tire). Varies by brand.
Most clients save 2–5x the detail cost. Spending $449 to avoid $1,500–$3,000 in wear fees is the standard math. Some clients save $5,000+ on aggressive luxury lease contracts.
Yes — for aluminum wheels with rash, we sand, prime, color-match paint, and clear-coat. Result looks factory unless inspected very closely. Wheels that are bent or have structural damage need replacement instead.
We don't do bodywork. Dents need a body shop. We can recommend a paintless-dent-removal (PDR) specialist who can fix many dents for $100–$300. Worth it before turn-in.
1–3 days before turn-in is ideal. Long enough to avoid scratches from re-driving, soon enough that nothing new accumulates.
If you're keeping the vehicle, just do a regular full detail — you don't need to address wear-fee items because no one's charging you. Lease return detailing is specifically about avoiding fees.
Document everything. With our before/after photos and itemized report, you can dispute charges. Sometimes the dispute process gets fees reduced or removed.
Yes — we do high-volume lease-return work for sales fleet returns. Volume pricing applies.
Yes — if you're turning the car in to a specific dealer, we can detail it at their lot the morning of turn-in. Coordinated with the dealer.
Hazed headlights ($179 for us, $400+ from dealer) and single curb-rashed wheel ($99 for us, $250+ from dealer). Both are common, both are cheap to fix relative to the fee.
